I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
